UPM Kymmene (UK) Ltd is a Finnish forest industry company that creates new products from renewable or recyclable bio and paper fibre materials. The company operates globally and has two paper mills in the UK, one in Shotton, near Chester, which also possesses a Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), and the other in North Ayrshire in Scotland. The company recently sold its Shotton facility to Eren Paper Limited, to be converted from a paper reprocessing to cardboard reprocessing plant.
